we lost a true ICON and LEGEND
in our community to the AIDS epidemic.

John was
inspired by How Do I Look, an Arts In
Education video project on the Harlem "Ball"
community.
HDIL is
an artistic
empowerment & HIV awareness community project
and an EduTainment, DocuFeature
film,
directed by German/American,
social & artistic activist Wolfgang
Busch.
The
first How Do I Look Ball
was held
at
Park West in
Chicago
In attendance was the
director Wolfgang Busch
and celebrity guest
Mo'Nique,
who was touched by the
How Do I Look documentary and attended the How Do I
Look Ball.
Mo'Nique, a straight
outspoken superstar has been supporting the LGBT community for
years.
It gives Art From The
Heart great pleasure to recognize and honor
Mo'Nique with the first
Art From The
Heart
community
empowerment award, 2006
